One of the best chippy we had. Very tasty, the chips aren’t saggy at all, the fish is well cooked but doesn’t fall apart and It's crispy. Served to take away in a nice box, which makes a big difference as none of the food sticks to old-fashioned paper wrapping. Bargain regarding the price. Parking is very spacious in front of the entry. We are not local but wish we were.. Highly recommend it. Thank you xx

Delicious chips- you have to try them to believe them. Fish lovely and fresh. Donna meat and sausage tasty too. We all enjoyed our meals and will definitely be going back!

Today we had lovely golden brown, crispy chips. None of those horrible soggy anemic chips usually served in a chip shop. Well done Hampton chippy, we will be back. Kebab was good too 😆

The food is absolutely killer and the new battered chips are golden, crispy and dance on the tongue. The atmosphere was also friendly so I will definitely be coming back

Best fish & chips in town, lovely crisp batter, beautiful flavoured cod and good sized portions for those with a healthy appetite. There's usually a queue on Fridays/Saturdays as they're very popular so allow time but we'll worth the wait. I did almost knock a star off though as when I got home on Friday I only had 1 portion of chips instead of 2 but that's unusual and they were exceptionally busy so that would've been mean! Keep up the good work guys/girls, you've got it right

Fish is really lovely but chips are a variable, sometimes good others not so much. Hoping it's just the current situation and things will become back on the high standard, we've been told to expect from Hampton Chippy. I added to this because we've just had fish & chips from Hampton Chippy, WOW! Gorgeous fish as always but the chips were delicious. Thanks Hampton Chippy you earned the 5 stars this evening. Not on our way to or from home so we have to make a conscious effort to go here, but it's worth it. Always great service and good standard of food. Only slight issue is they close quite early, which is understandable given the location isn't on a high street in the middle of town, but it also means food is cooked to order after 8.30 which can mean if your late home from work you will be a bit later waiting for the food. But it's understandable and we'd visit more often if the location was on the way home ;-)
